Case Study For IOS/Android Development

Several years back Softcodeit realized the potential in the mobile application area and formed a Mobile Application development section. This move has proved prudent over the years as this particular field has come a long way since then.

One of the developments Softcodeit undertook was an IOS based application for a GPS tracking device. This was a great tracking solution for people, pets and vehicles. The application was developed for IPhone and I-Pad which communicated with a web based interface to get the location of a small hardware device in the tracked object. The application is able to display multiple tracked objects in a list and also on a map.

Another more recent development is an IPhone application which is a promotion tool for retailers based in Singapore. Merchants have a Web console where they can enter coupons, deals, sales and other promotional content. Any user who uses the IPhone Application is able to see these and will be able to visit the shop and redeem the promotions. Application uses the GPS tracking capability in the Smart device to filter the locations near the user. The user also has the capability to select a radius around him and filter the promotions. QR code which is more popular with smart devices is used for tracking the coupons and other promotions. At present this product is live and is employed by largest retail chains in Singapore. The android application for the same solution is also under development expecting a release later this year.
